Bob Mackie, who designed looks for Cher, Carol Burnett and other stars, will be the costume designer on “The Cher Show.”

In addition to Mackie, producers Flody Suarez and Jeffrey Seller announced Christine Jones and Brett Banakis as set designers, Kevin Adams as lighting designer and Nevin Steinberg as sound designer. “The Cher Show” will open at the Oriental Theatre in Chicago on June 12, 2018 before coming to the Neil Simon Theatre on Broadway in fall 2018.

They join the previously announced creative team of book writer Rick Elice, director Jason Moore, choreographer Christopher Gattelli and orchestrator, arranger and music supervisor Daryl Waters.

Mackie has been a longtime collaborator with Cher, designing costumes for her own shows as well as for awards show appearances. He was the costume designer for Burnett on “The Carol Burnett Show” and has also designed outfits for Whitney Houston, Diana Ross, Joan Rivers and more.
