‘SIX’ announces full-cast refresh

Producers of "SIX" have announced the sextet of new queens who will join the Broadway production of the musical at the newly renamed Lena Horne Theatre. Beginning on Dec.

Producers of “SIX” have announced the sextet of new queens who will join the Broadway production of the musical at the newly renamed Lena Horne Theatre.

Beginning on Dec. 5, the cast will be comprised of Hailee Kaleem Wright as Catherine of Aragon, Leandra Ellis-Gaston as Anne Boleyn, Bella Coppola as Jane Seymour, Nasia Thomas as Anna of Cleves, Zoe Jensen as Katherine Howard and Taylor Iman Jones as Catherine Parr.

Also joining the company on Dec. 5 will be alternates Marilyn Caserta, Kristina Leopold and Aubrey Matalon, joining current alternates Holli’ Conway and Ayla Ciccone-Burton.

This new cast comes with the exit of the final remaining members of the original cast, Andrea Macasaet, Brittney Mack and Samantha Pauly, as well as replacement cast members Bre Jackson, Keri René Fuller and Brennyn Lark, who will all play their final performance on Dec. 4.

Wright most recently appeared on Broadway in “Paradise Square” as the Paradise Square singer and understudy for Angelina Baker. Ellis-Gaston made her Broadway debut with the company of “Tina: The Tina Turner Musical,” where she performed as a swing and member of the ensemble and served as dance captain. Coppola will make her Broadway debut with “SIX,” having played Pat in off-Broadway’s “Kinky Boots.” Thomas most recently appeared in the revival of “Caroline, or Change” as Radio 1. Jensen was seen on Broadway in “Dear Evan Hansen” and most recently played Eliza on the tour of “Hamilton.” Jones led the original cast of “Head Over Heels” and recently starred in the new musical adaptation of “The Devil Wears Prada.”

“SIX” marks the Broadway debut of alternates Caserta, Leopold and Matalon.

“SIX” is co-directed by Lucy Moss and Jamie Armitage and features choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille. The creative team also includes scenic designer Emma Bailey, costume designer Gabriella Slade, lighting designer Tim Deiling, sound designer Paul Gatehouse, orchestrator Tom Curran, music supervisor/vocal arranger Joe Beighton and U.S. music supervisor Roberta Duchak.

Casting is by Tara Rubin Casting/Peter Van Dam, CSA, with original US casting by Bob Mason.
