Roundabout Theatre Company has named Tony Award-winner Rebecca Taichman and “Marvin’s Room” director Anne Kauffman as its resident directors.

As resident directors, Taichman and Kauffman will have support from Roundabout to develop their own work and, in turn, they will help shape Roundabout’s upcoming seasons. Both Taichman and Kauffman have a Roundabout credit to their names, with Taichman directing the Roundabout production of “Time and the Conways” and Kauffman taking on “Marvin’s Room.”

Taichman’s previous credits include the Broadway and off-Broadway productions of “Indecent,” for which she won a Tony Award for best direction of a play, as well as several off-Broadway credits. Kauffman has worked across several nonprofit and regional theaters in New York, with recent credits including “And No More Shall We Part” at Williamstown Theatre Festival.

After bringing “Marvin’s Room” and “Time and the Conways” to Broadway this year, Roundabout is mounting two additional Broadway productions for Broadway’s 2017 to 2018 season: “John Lithgow: Stories By Heart” at Studio 54 and “Travesties” at the American Airlines Theatre.

Alongside their appointments, Roundabout named Miranda Haymon, who recently premiered her adaptation of Kurt Vonnegut’s “Slaughterhouse-Five” at the 2017 Capital Fringe Festival, as a directing fellow.

Fiasco Theater Company, which brought an adaptation of “Into the Woods” to Roundabout’s Laura Pels Theatre in 2015, was named as company-in-residence.
