After Broadway News spoke to 2024 Tony Award nominees on this year’s blue carpet, the team headed to the media room on 65th Street. As is tradition, the press corps greeted newly minted Tony Award winners there to gather more in-depth thoughts about their shows, their path to this milestone and more. 

All the while, the Tonys broadcast played (muted) in the background on monitors — but reporters tuned in to the sound via headsets. The overlap of winners in the room and those on the broadcast made for some particularly memorable moments during the 2024 ceremony.
