The Drama League Awards have announced co-hosts for the 2024 nominations ceremony. Tony Award nominee Vanessa Williams and current “Hadestown” star Jordan Fisher will announce the nominations for the awards that honor Broadway and Off-Broadway productions. The previously announced ceremony will be held at New York Library for the Performing Arts on April 22 at 10:00 a.m.

Williams, a Tony nominee for her turn as the Witch in the 2002 revival of “Into the Woods,” was recently announced to star in the upcoming London debut of the “Devil Wears Prada” musical. She made her Broadway debut in 1994 as a replacement for the titular role in “Kiss of the Spider Woman.” Her other Broadway credits include the 2010 revue “Sondheim on Sondheim,” the 2013 revival of “The Trip to Bountiful” and 2014’s “After Midnight.” She most recently appeared as Margaret in 2022’s “POTUS,” and will produce the 2024 Louis Armstrong bio-musical “A Wonderful World.”

Fisher is currently appearing as Orpheus in the long-running musical “Hadestown.” He first appeared on the Main Stem in 2016, stepping into the dual roles of John Laurens and Philip Hamilton in “Hamilton.” He joined “Dear Evan Hansen” as the title character in 2020 and continued in the role when the production reopened in December 2021 following the COVID-induced hiatus. He originated the role of Anthony Hope in the 2023 revival of “Sweeney Todd.”

The Drama League acknowledges productions of the past season in several competitive categories: Outstanding Production of a Play, Outstanding Production of a Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, Outstanding Direction of a Play and Outstanding Direction of a Musical, in addition to the sole acting honor of the Distinguished Performance Award.

Additionally, the Drama League’s 2024 noncompetitive awards will honor the previously announced Jessica Lange, Schele Williams, Kandi Burruss and Jonathan Groff.

Hosted by Frank DiLella, the 90th annual Drama League Awards will be held on May 17 at Ziegfeld Ballroom.
