In the wake of the Broadway shutdown, SiriusXM host Seth Rudetsky and his husband, producer James Wesley, will launch a live online show featuring Broadway stars.

The show, called “Stars in the House,” will feature Broadway actors performing hit songs from their homes and taking part in brief, remote interviews with Rudetsky. The series is meant to encourage donations to The Actors Fund to aid workers affected by the closure of theaters across the country.

The first episode launches March 16 at 8 p.m. It will feature Kelli O’Hara and Dr. Jon LaPook, chief medical correspondent for CBS News.

Episodes will be broadcast at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. each day — corresponding with the times a Broadway show would normally play — on The Actors Fund website, Playbill and BroadwayWorld.

Confirmed guests for future episodes include Betty Buckley, Norbert Leo Butz, Kristin Chenoweth, Jeremy Jordan, Beth Leavel, Idina Menzel, Actors Fund Chairman Brian Stokes Mitchell, Rosie O’Donnell, Alice Ripley, Adam Pascal and more.

Some episodes will also feature theater couples performing together, including Sebastian Arcelus and Stephanie J. Block, Will Chase and Ingrid Michaelson, Jenn Colella and Chilina Kennedy, Andy Karl and Orfeh, and Audra McDonald and Will Swenson.

Rudetsky and Wesley plan to continue producing “Stars in the House” until Broadway reopens, Wesley said in a press release.
