“Once Upon a One More Time,” a new musical about fairytale princesses set to the songs of Britney Spears, has announced its Chicago cast, ahead of an expected Broadway run.

Briga Heelan will star as Cinderella opposite Justin Guarini’s Prince Charming, with Simon Callow as the narrator, Emily Skinner as Stepmother, Brooke Dillman as the Original Fairy Godmother, Aisha Jackson as Snow White and Mimi Scardulla and Tess Soltau as Stepsisters Belinda and Betany.

The musical, directed and choreographed by Keone & Mari Madrid, will make its world premiere at Chicago’s James M. Nederlander Theatre from April 14 through May 17. The musical is produced by the Nederlander Organization. Dates for a Broadway engagement will be announced at a later date, according to the press release.

Featuring a book by Jon Hartmere, the musical sees Cinderella, Snow White and other princesses gathered for a book club, which is interrupted by a fairy godmother delivering a copy of “The Feminine Mystique.” That book disrupts their conventional thinking about love and one’s purpose in life.

The Chicago ensemble will include Raymond J. Lee, Ryan Steele, Matt Allen, Belinda Allyn, Viva Boresi, Stephen Brower, Jennifer Florentino, Selene Haro, Joshua Daniel Johnson, Amy Hillner Larsen, Korinne Tetlow, Salisha Thomas, Matthew Tiberi, Josh Tolle, Kevin Trinio Perdido and Diana Marie Vaden.
