‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ announces new Broadway cast

“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” announced Monday the complete cast for the production’s third year on Broadway. Paul Thornley, who played Ron Weasley in the original West End production as well as in the original Broadway cast, will return to the role after a one-year absence.

“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” announced Monday the complete cast for the production’s third year on Broadway.

Paul Thornley, who played Ron Weasley in the original West End production as well as in the original Broadway cast, will return to the role after a one-year absence. Current cast members James Snyder, Diane Davis, Jenny Jules and Nadia Brown will continue their runs as Harry Potter, Ginny Potter, Hermione Granger and Rose Granger-Weasley, respectively. Brady Dalton Richards will join the production as Scorpius Malfoy.

All new cast members begin on March 18, 2020, with the previous cast playing their final performance on March 15.

Two current members of the cast’s ensemble, James Romney and Aaron Bartz, will join the principal cast. Romney is set to play Albus Potter, and Bartz will play Draco Malfoy.

Gabriel Amoroso, Quinn Blades, Michela Cannon, Judith Lightfoot Clarke, Malcolm Fuller, Stephanie Gomérez, Jax Jackson, Spencer LaRue, Dan Piering, Alex Michael Stoll and Maya Thomas will join the production’s ensemble.

They join current ensemble members Brian Thomas Abraham, Stephen Bradbury, James Brown III, Will Carlyon, Lauren Nicole Cipoletti, Makayla Joy Connolly, Grace DeAmicis, Patrick Du Laney, Steve Haggard, Edward James Hyland, Jack Koenig, Rachel Leslie, Sarita Amani Nash, Fiona Reid, Kevin Matthew Reyes, Antoinette Robinson, Stephen Spinella, Tom Patrick Stephens, Erica Sweany and Karen Janes Woditsch.

“Harry Potter” opened at the Lyric Theatre on April 22, 2018.
