‘Great Gatsby’ musical completes casting for Broadway bow

Performances will begin in March at the Broadway Theatre.

Casting is finalized for the upcoming Broadway premiere of “The Great Gatsby.” The previously announced new musical, transferring from a world-premiere staging at Paper Mill Playhouse, will begin previews on March 29 and open on April 25 at the Broadway Theatre.

The musical’s newly announced ensemble includes Raymond Edward Baynard, Austin Colby, Curtis Holland, Traci Elaine Lee, Dariana Mullen, Ryah Nixon, Pascal Pastrana, Kayla Pecchioni, Mariah Resheg Reives, Dan Rosales, Dave Schoonover, Derek Jordan Taylor, Tanairi Sade Vazquez and Katie Webber, with company swings Kurt Csolak, Carissa Gaughran, Samantha Pollino, Alex Prakken, Jake Trammel and Jasmine Pearl Villaroel.

They will appear alongside previously announced principals Jeremy Jordan as Jay Gatsby, Eva Noblezada as Daisy Buchanan, Noah J. Ricketts as Nick Carraway, Samantha Pauly as Jordan Baker, Sara Chase as Myrtle Wilson, John Zdrojeski as Tom Buchanan, Paul Whitty as George Wilson and Eric Anderson as Wolfsheim. Casting is by C12 Casting.

Adapted from F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel, the “Great Gatsby” musical features a book by Kait Kerrigan and a score by Nathan Tysen and Jason Howland. Set in the 1920s, the story follows the millionaire Jay Gatsby, who will stop at nothing in the pursuit of the lost love of his youth, Daisy Buchanan.

Leading the “Great Gatsby” creative team are director Marc Bruni, choreographer Dominique Kelley and music director Daniel Edmonds.
