Polk & Co. has announced the expansion of its leadership team, naming longtime press agents Colgan McNeil and Kelly Stotmeister as partners alongside founder Matt Polk. The move marks the first expansion of the firm’s partnership structure since Polk founded the agency in 2013.

The company serves as the press agency of record for numerous Broadway productions, including the currently running “Becky Shaw,” “Buena Vista Social Club,” “Chess,” “Death Becomes Her,” “Dog Day Afternoon,” “Giant,” “Just in Time,” “The Lost Boys,” “Maybe Happy Ending,” “The Rocky Horror Show,” “Stranger Things: The First Shadow” and “Wicked.” The firm’s roster also includes Broadway-bound shows such as “Purple Rain” and Billy Crystal’s “860.” Polk & Co. also represents nonprofits Roundabout Theatre Company and Second Stage as well as cultural organizations, such as the Broadway Advocacy Coalition and Terrence McNally Foundation, and entertainment companies, like Warner Brothers Theatre Ventures.

McNeil and Stotmeister have each spent more than a decade with the company and bring a combined 20-plus years of experience overseeing campaigns across Broadway, Off-Broadway, film, television and nonprofit arts organizations. “As partners, Colgan and I will work alongside Matt on management and leadership of the office — from staffing and operations to key business decisions,” Stotmeister told Broadway News. “We’ll also be serving as strategic partners on a higher level in the office, working as thought partners to advise our clients and navigate the ever-changing landscape of media and communications as it rapidly evolves.”

“All production teams will have a partner working alongside them on their dedicated campaigns and all three of us will remain available to all levels of staff for consultation, strategic development and campaign execution,” Stotmeister added. Polk & Co.’s staff includes senior vice presidents Jessica Johnson, Tom D’Ambrosio and Wayne Wolfe; vice presidents Alana Karpoff and Alex Seeley; senior account manager Lilly Claar; account managers Nicolette Carcaldi, Nina Chae-Gordon and Chaliece Dillon; and account coordinators Colleen Dunn, Molly Higgins, Alex Hudome and Hannah Wallace.

In a statement, Polk said the appointments recognize McNeil and Stotmeister’s contributions to the firm and position the agency for future growth. “I’ve observed some of the great leaders in our industry nurture the next generation of outstanding talent. It’s a trait I truly respect and a desire of mine to recognize exceptional talent and invest in its growth,” Polk said. “Colgan McNeil and Kelly Stotmeister joined Polk & Co. over a decade ago and from the start, they embodied the work ethic, values and philosophical approach that defines this company. They have only deepened that foundation over the years, absorbing the craft of press agenting from the exceptional senior leadership in the office of Jessica Johnson, Tom D'Ambrosio. and Wayne Wolfe.”

“What sets Colgan and Kelly apart is their rare ability to honor the discipline of traditional publicity while pushing our work boldly forward — meeting the creative demands of an industry in constant evolution,” Polk continued. “This is a recognition long in the making, and I look forward to building the next decade of this company alongside them.”

McNeil and Stotmeister have worked on campaigns that collectively received more than 160 Tony Award nominations during their tenure at the firm.
