“Beetlejuice” has added Monday night performances and largely eliminated Wednesday performances beginning March 9.

With the new schedule, “Beetlejuice” will play 7 p.m. performances on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 8 p.m. performances on Friday and Saturday, a 7:30 p.m. evening show on Sunday and matinees on both Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. Asked for comment on the new schedule, the production said the changes were made to accommodate spring break crowds.

“As we continue to listen to our ‘Beetlejuice’ audiences we are now offering more performance options for fans who travel into New York over the weekends. As we enter spring break season with long holiday weekends we want to make it easy for our audiences to add a performance of ‘Beetlejuice’ to their travel plans,” the production told Broadway News.

The Broadway musical does not have any listed performances April 12 through April 16, with additional gaps on April 21 and April 23 (per the new schedule, April 22 would be a dark day). The production said it could not comment on those missed performances at this time.

The musical is slated to play its final performance at the Winter Garden Theatre on June 6, but producers had been looking for other venues and options to keep the show running.

“Beetlejuice” continues to post strong grosses, even in the lean winter months, bringing in 82% of its gross potential in the week ended March 1, and more than 100% in the preceding weeks.

Sophia Anne Caruso, who originated the role of Lydia, recently departed the production. Presley Ryan, who had been her understudy, has taken over the role through March 29. A permanent replacement has not yet been named.
