“Unmasked,” a new musical featuring the works of Andrew Lloyd Webber, will have its world premiere at the Paper Mill Playhouse in September.

The musical, co-created by Richard Curtis and John Doyle, will open the theater’s 2018-2019 season and run from Sept. 27 through Oct. 28. It will feature Lloyd Webber’s existing songs as well as some new material created for the production.

“We start from the position of having in the show a huge collection of some of the greatest songs ever written for musical theatre – and then learn more about Andrew and his way of working and how the music relates to him and his life,” Curtis said.

The show is described as featuring characters from Lloyd Webber’s musicals interacting with each other, and including new versions of his songs, including a cappella renditions.
