Understudy Tony Carlin will take over the role of Louis in “Bernhardt/Hamlet,” replacing Paxton Whitehead who has left the production for health reasons.

Carlin, whose recent Broadway credits includes “Saint Joan” and “Junk” has been playing the role since Sept. 12. The play began previews on Aug. 31, 2018 and has an opening night set for Sept. 25, 2018 at the American Airlines Theatre.

Directed by Moritz von Stuelpnagel and written by Theresa Rebeck, the play stars Janet McTeer as Sarah Bernhardt, Dylan Baker as Constant Coquelin and Jason Butler Harner as Edmond Rostand.
