Ken Davenport and Davenport Theatrical Enterprises (DTE) have announced an expansion to the production company’s staff with three new hires and an internal promotion. Morgan Cavendish has been promoted to chief operating officer — a newly created position — effective June 1. New hire Bryan McCaffrey has joined the company as general manager, effective June 1. Jasmyn Unique Tilford is DTE’s new office manager and administrative assistant, effective Sept. 8, and Richard Rile is now executive assistant to Davenport, effective Aug. 20.
Ken Davenport is a Tony Award-winning producer, having won Best Revival of a Musical for lead-producing 2017’s “Once on This Island” as well as Best Musical for co-producing “Kinky Boots.” Under his leadership, DTE continues to develop multiple new musicals, including “The Griswolds’ Broadway Vacation,” “The Ten,” a stage adaptation of the Oscar-winning film “Slumdog Millionaire” and the untitled Harry Belafonte musical.
Cavendish, who has been with DTE since 2022, also serves as an associate producer at the company, where her work includes “A Beautiful Noise,” “Harmony” and “Joy.” Before DTE, Cavendish spent a decade in early childhood development at Kidville, working in event planning, marketing and social media, before founding her own virtual enrichment program for children, Little Buddies. In her new position with DTE, she is responsible for managing investor relations, fundraising and day-to-day operations across the company. As COO, Cavendish will report directly to Davenport.
“Well, this career path was unexpected,” Cavendish said in a statement. “Broadway was my first true love, and getting to be part of this industry every day is still beyond what I could’ve imagined for myself. I look forward to making more theater, building better systems and continuing to better the industry for those who come after us.”

Tilford is a multidisciplinary artist with experience as a stage manager, teaching artist, administrator and actor. Rile brings more than 15 years of experience in operations, training, customer experience, sales, coaching and team leadership to his new position as executive assistant to Davenport. Both Tilford and Rile will report to Cavendish. They join marketing director Mary Elizabeth Dina, marketing associate Mace Cowart and associate producer Jonathan Hogue to complete the DTE team.
“Morgan spent a decade building things outside this business before she came to it, and that’s exactly why she’s good at it,” said Davenport. “I don’t just hire people who only know Broadway. I hire people who know how to build — and that's Bryan, Jasmyn and Richard too.”
In addition to its slate of shows in development, Davenport is a co-producer on this season’s “Paranormal Activity.” He is also a co-producer of the “Operation Mincemeat” national tour the lead producer of the “A Beautiful Noise” national tour.
