The Broadway musical “Titaníque” will celebrate its fan community with a special performance this summer. The 7:30 p.m. performance on Aug. 27 has been dubbed “Ti-stan-ique Fan Night,” and will feature surprise guest appearances, giveaway prizes and sing-along numbers. A special discount is also available for certain ticket purchases.
Written by Tye Blue, Marla Mindelle and Constantine Rousouli, “Titaníque” is a sendup of the Academy Award-winning film “Titanic,” retold from the perspective of and featuring music by “My Heart Will Go On” singer Celine Dion. Following a pair of Off-Broadway runs, it officially opened at Broadway’s St James Theatre on Apr. 12. “Titaníque” has been staged throughout the US and internationally, including in London’s West End, where it won the Olivier Award for Best New Entertainment or Comedy Play.
The Broadway production received four Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical.
The limited engagement of “Titaníque” will play its final Broadway performance on Sept. 20, having announced an extension in May. The musical comedy is set to launch a North American tour in 2027.
“Titaníque” is produced on Broadway by Eva Price.
