Stephan Paridaen will assume the role of chief executive at Production Resource Group, the company announced Wednesday.

Paridaen, who has been serving as PRG’s president and chief operations officer since 2010, takes over the role from Jere Harris. Harris, who is also the founder and chairman of the company, will transition to the new title of executive chairman and chief creative officer.

Both Paridaen and Harris will start in their new roles on Jan. 3, 2022.

PRG provides lighting, automation and other rental production equipment to live events, as well as Broadway shows, which have included “Moulin Rouge,” “Dear Evan Hansen” and “Finding Neverland.” Harris said Paridaen, who previously helped grow the company’s overseas markets, will help lead the company through its next transition phase.

“We are at an inflection point for the company, the industry and indeed the world. After leading the company through the most difficult period in our history, we are now on solid footing. There is still much work to do, and I am confident in Stephan’s ability to realize the tremendous opportunity ahead,” Harris said.

Before coming to PRG, Paridaen served as president of media and entertainment at Barco, a digital projection and imaging company.
