‘Moulin Rouge!’ is planning to start its North American tour in Chicago in 2022.
The tour, which was originally scheduled to begin Nov. 21, 2020 in New Orleans, will now conduct technical rehearsals and premiere at Chicago’s James M. Nederlander Theatre. Performances are scheduled to begin Feb. 26, 2022 and run through April 24.
Additional engagements are currently being rescheduled. Casting and future tour dates will be announced at a later time.
The musical opened at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on July 25, 2019 and was still running at the time of the March 12, 2020 shutdown.
