McKenzie Kurtz to join Broadway’s ‘Wicked’

McKenzie Kurtz will assume the role of Glinda in "Wicked" on Broadway beginning Feb. 14. She succeeds current cast member Brittney Johnson, who will play her final performance at the Gershwin Theatre on Feb. 12.

McKenzie Kurtz will assume the role of Glinda in “Wicked” on Broadway beginning Feb. 14. She succeeds current cast member Brittney Johnson, who will play her final performance at the Gershwin Theatre on Feb. 12.

Kurtz made her Broadway debut as Anna in “Frozen” and went on to play the role in the North American tour. She also played the Star-to-Be in “Annie Live!”

Kurtz joins a cast that features Talia Suskauer as Elphaba, Cleavant Derricks as The Wizard, Michele Pawk as Madame Morrible, James D. Gish as Fiyero, Clifton Davis as Doctor Dillamond, Mikayla Renfrow as Nessarose and Michael Wartella as Boq.
