Audiences now have more chances to see “Mary Jane.” The new play by Amy Herzog has received a final extension from Manhattan Theatre Club (MTC). The Broadway production, starring Tony Award nominee Rachel McAdams, will now conclude its run on June 30 at MTC’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. Originally announced as a limited run through June 2, the play was previously extended to June 16.

Directed by Tony Award nominee Anne Kauffman, “Mary Jane” explores the world of caregiving under extreme circumstances. In addition to McAdams, the company features April Matthis, Susan Pourfar, Lily Santiago and Brenda Wehle. “Mary Jane” began previews on April 2 and opened on April 23.

The play is currently nominated for four 2024 Tony Awards, including nods for Kauffman’s direction, McAdams’ performance, Leah Gelpe’s sound design and Herzog with MTC for Best Play.

“Mary Jane” is produced by MTC, under the leadership of artistic director Lynne Meadow and executive director Chris Jennings.
