“Mary Jane” has confirmed its opening night date. The previously announced play by Pulitzer Prize finalist and Tony Award nominee Amy Herzog will officially open on April 23 at Manhattan Theatre Club’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. Previews will begin on April 2 for a limited run through June 2.

Academy Award nominee Rachel McAdams will star as the titular character, a single mother navigating her community as she cares for her chronically ill son. Anne Kauffman will direct.

Additional cast and creative team will be announced at a later date.

“Mary Jane” is being produced by Manhattan Theatre Club, under the leadership of artistic director Lynne Meadow and executive director Chris Jennings.
