Manhattan Theatre Club (MTC) has announced the cancellation of the April 10, 7 p.m. performance of “Mary Jane” due to a non-COVID related illness. The cancellation announcement was made on the nonprofit’s social media channels. According to the post, ticket holders are instructed to contact their point of purchase to reschedule for an alternate performance.

Anne Kauffman directs the play, which follows a single mother and her chosen family as they navigate the caregiving of a chronically ill child.

In addition to McAdams in the titular role, the company of “Mary Jane” includes April Matthis, Susan Pourfar, Lily Santiago and Brenda Wehle.

“Mary Jane” is being produced by MTC, under the leadership of artistic director Lynne Meadow and executive director Chris Jennings.
