The revival will play its final performance on Sept. 3.

Update: “Funny Girl” star Lea Michele will not appear in either of the Aug. 30 performances. She previously missed the Aug. 29 evening performance. A post on the show’s official Instagram account stated that Michele is “under the weather” and will not perform. Fanny alternate Julie Benko will go on in the role.

A new Instagram post indicates that Michele will return for the Sept. 1 performance. Benko performs on Thursday evenings.

The revival, which announced its recoupment earlier this month, is slated to close on Sept. 3. A national tour is set to open on Sept. 9.

Last week, ending Aug. 27, “Funny Girl” broke its own house record at the August Wilson Theatre. The production grossed $2,133,143 through eight performances, an increase of 75 percent from the previous week (ending Aug. 20) when Michele had planned absences.

“Funny Girl” is produced by Sonia Friedman, Scott Landis and David Babani.
