Harry Connick, Jr. sets Broadway dates

“Harry Connick, Jr.A Celebration of Cole Porter” has set dates for its Broadway engagement this winter.

The concert will play the Nederlander Theatre beginning Dec. 7, with an opening night set for Dec. 12.

Produced by Connick Performances, James L. Nederlander and Grove Entertainment, Connick will sing the songs of Cole Porter with the accompagnement of a 25-piece orchestra and a multimedia presentation.

Before coming to Broadway, Connick will release an album of Cole Porter standards. A national tour is planned for next year.

The production is conceived and directed by Harry Connick, Jr., with scenic design by Beowulf Boritt and Alexis Distler, projection design by Beowulf Boritt and Caite Hevner, and lighting design by Ken Billington.

Tickets go on sale on Oct. 4.
