Multiple Broadway box office metrics fell in Week 12 of the 2026-2027 season. For the week ending Aug. 16, the 27 running productions grossed $27,003,040, representing a 19.9% decrease from the previous week. Attendance dropped by 12.1%, while capacity dipped by 4%. Of note, there were two fewer productions running in Week 12 than in Week 11; “Cats: The Jellicle Ball,” “Death of a Salesman” and “Every Brilliant Thing” closed during Week 11 and “Paranormal Activity” began previews during Week 12, beginning on Friday, Aug. 14.
Compared to Week 12 of the 2025-2026 season, Broadway is down overall; grosses are down 9.4% from Week 12 of last season’s $29,790,665, while attendance is down 8%. Capacity is relatively steady, decreasing by just 0.1%.
