Grosses analysis: Broadway box office steadies in early August

For the week ending Aug. 9, the 29 running productions grossed $33,716,025.

Broadway box office metrics decreased ever so slightly in Week 11 of the 2026-2027 season. For the week ending Aug. 9, the 29 running productions grossed $33,716,025, representing a 0.5% dip from the previous week. Attendance slipped to 257,464, a 2.4% decrease from the week prior, while capacity was 91.6%, a 2.3% decrease. 

Compared to Week 11 of the previous season, Broadway remains up overall. Grosses are up 8.8% from the 2025-2026 season’s Week 11 total of $31,003,860, while attendance is up by 2.3% and capacity by 1%.
