Grosses analysis: Broadway box office dips following few closings; ‘Rocky Horror’ sets house record

For the week ending June 28, the 35 running productions grossed $36,698,946.

Broadway box office gross fell slightly in Week 5 of the 2026-2027 season. For the week ending June 28, the 35 running productions grossed a total of $36,698,946, representing a 5.8% decrease from the week prior. Attendance decreased by 5.2% and capacity by 1.6%. Notably, Week 5 had three fewer productions and 23 fewer total performances than the week prior with “The Balusters,” “Chess” and “Celebrity Autobiography” all closing on June 21 (at the end of Week 4). Week 5 also encompassed the final week of performances for three more shows.

Compared to Week 5 of the previous season, Broadway is still down overall, with box office grosses 6.7% lower than that week’s $39,314,834. Attendance also dipped by 2.2%, and capacity decreased by 4%.
