Exclusive: Digital marketplace the Broadway Exchange announces initial series of Broadway trading cards

Spotlight Series trading cards were made in collaboration with the actors they feature — and will pay them, too.

The Broadway Exchange has released a series of digital collector’s cards called the Spotlight Series, Broadway News has learned exclusively. The series features Broadway actors Amber Ardolino, Robert Creighton, JJ Niemann, Cara Ricketts, Jeremy Stolle and Jason Veasey — all of whom were active collaborators in the creation of the digital cards.

Each actor is the face of four types of cards with designs inspired by recent social media memes: 1) the action figure/Barbie doll, 2) the animated character, 3) the fantasy-style figure and 4) the art painting. Images featured on the cards are generated by artificial intelligence with the active participation of the actors.
