Elizabeth Furze has been named chief executive officer of AKA’s North American division.

Furze was formerly a managing partner at AKA NYC, alongside Scott A. Moore. Moore will step down from his role at the end of 2020, but remain with the company as a business consultant and member of the advisory board.

Furze, who established AKA’s New York office with Moore, will begin in the newly created position on Jan. 1, 2021.

“Working in partnership with Liz to build AKA NYC over the last ten years has been one of the highlights of my career” Moore said. “Despite the challenging year, the AKA team we’ve built is as strong in 2020 as it has ever been and this seems like the right time to step back—if there is ever such a thing as a right time. I look forward to continuing to collaborate with this team closely as I set my sights on new possibilities and opportunities within this industry I love.”

As CEO of North America, Furze will lead the AKA Group’s New York business and its newly created West Coast office.

Furze joined the AKA Group, which has offices in the U.S., the U.K. and Australia, in 2000 as a member of its London team. She relocated to the U.S. in 2008 to help create AKA New York.
