The Commercial Theater Institute (CTI) has announced the dates for its annual Three-Day Intensive. This year, the program, which offers a comprehensive overview of the commercial theater business, will take place from Oct. 23-25 at Studio Seaview and the Theater Center. Early-bird registration is now open.
The agenda will consist of seminars and panels led by industry professionals, as well as networking opportunities for participants. Topics for this year’s Three-Day Intensive include the vocabulary of commercial theater, analysis of commercial offerings and an overview of theater marketing. A full schedule will be announced on Oct. 2.
“Commercial Theater Institute has been the launching pad for generations of Broadway’s most influential producers, and our Three-Day Intensive is where that journey begins,” said new CTI executive director Dori Berinstein in a statement. “Whether you’re an up-and-coming producer, co-producer, investor, general manager or theater professional looking to deepen your craft, this program is the ideal introduction to the business of Broadway and to the community that makes it thrive.”
Further information, including registration details, can be found on the CTI website.
CTI, a training program for theater producers and managers, is organized in partnership with the Broadway League and TDF. In addition to the Three-Day Intensive, CTI also offers master classes and multiweek programs to educate aspiring theater professionals on the workings of commercial theater.
