Ciera Miller named directing fellow for Roundabout Theatre Company

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced Ciera Miller as its directing fellow for the 2026-2027 season. The nonprofit theater company has also named the members of its 2026-2027 Roundabout Directors Group; in addition to Miller, the cohort includes Eliyana Abraham, Jasmine Bhagroo, William Dao, Bailey Dumlao, Diego Alejandro González, Alexandra Haddad, Noah Latty, Megumi Nakamura, Martavius Parrish, Mantra Radhakrishnan and Julian X.

Founded in 2017, the Roundabout Directing Fellowship provides development opportunities, resources and career assistance to early-career directors. The fellowship specifically aims to foster new relationships with and create opportunities for artists who have traditionally been underrepresented in the theater industry.

The Roundabout Directors Group was founded in 2019 with the goal of creating a community for directors at similar stages of their careers. The cohort will meet with established artists each month to build their professional networks and discuss a specific topic, such as self-producing and navigating the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (the directors’ union).

Miller, the 10th Roundabout directing fellow since the program began, is the associate director for the national tour of “Hadestown.” She is half of the theatermaking duo miller & harlow, which was named a Jonathan Larson Grant honorable mention in 2023 and a finalist in 2025. Her assistant directing credits include “Primero Sueño” at the Met Cloisters and on tour in Mexico and the world premiere of the musical “Stompin’ at the Savoy” at Delaware Theatre Company.

Roundabout is a nonprofit theater company producing plays and musicals both on Broadway and Off-Broadway. Support for these directing programs is provided by the Tow Foundation. Led by artistic director Christopher Ashley, Roundabout’s 2026-2027 Main Stem slate includes productions of “The Imaginary Invalid,” “Mix and Master” and “The Full Monty.”
