Broadway Licensing acquires rights to ‘A Bronx Tale’

Broadway Licensing has acquired the rights to “A Bronx Tale,” the company announced Monday. “A Bronx Tale” is currently running on Broadway at the Longacre Theatre, where it opened on Dec. 1, 2016.

Broadway Licensing has acquired the rights to “A Bronx Tale,” the company announced Monday.

“A Bronx Tale” is currently running on Broadway at the Longacre Theatre, where it opened on Dec. 1, 2016. The musical features a book by Chazz Palminteri, who also wrote the screenplay for the 1993 film and a one-man show of the same title, music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater.

The musical will be available for professional and amateur licensing through Broadway Licensing.

The show also recently announced a national tour beginning in fall 2018, with stops at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre and the Broward Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

“A Bronx Tale” is produced by Tommy Mottola, The Dodgers, Tribeca Productions, Evamere Entertainment, Neighborhood Films, Jeffrey Sine, Cohen Private Ventures and Grant Johnson.
