The Wednesday evening performance of “American Utopia” has been canceled “due to a non-COVID-related illness in the company,” according to a statement from producers.

Performances are scheduled to resume Thursday, Dec. 2. Ticket holders for the canceled show will be refunded at their original point of purchase.

“American Utopia,” starring David Byrne, opened at the St. James Theatre on Oct. 17 and is currently scheduled to run through March 6, 2022.

The production originally ran on Broadway at the Hudson Theatre from October 2019 to February 2020.
