Advertising agency AKA has announced two senior promotions and two new hires as part of an expansion of its creative leadership team. Sam McMenamin has been promoted to senior creative director, head of content and social, while Lisa Lewis has been named senior creative director, head of copy and design. The agency said the promotions are part of a broader strategy to strengthen its cross-disciplinary leadership and adapt to the demands of an evolving media landscape.
McMenamin has been with AKA for 10 years. In her new role, she will lead content and social innovation across the agency. Lewis, who joined AKA three and a half years ago, will oversee narrative development, tone and brand storytelling for clients’ brands. Both executives will continue to serve as cross-platform leads on key client accounts.
“These promotions are not only well-earned, but they also represent a strategic step forward in how we structure the creative studio,” said Miky Wolf, chief creative officer at AKA.
In addition to the promotions, AKA has added two creative professionals to its staff. Joey Barglowski joins as senior video editor, bringing a background in filmmaking and editing. Olufemi Leverett has been hired as an art director. As Wolf said, “These new team members each bring something distinct to the table — from visual precision to cultural fluency.”
The moves come as AKA continues to grow its creative studio, which supports clients in theater, live entertainment, culture, sports and destinations. The agency’s roster includes current Broadway productions such as “& Juliet” and “Cabaret” as well as newly minted Tony Award nominees “Buena Vista Social Club,” “Good Night and Good Luck” and “Stranger Things.”
