Actors’ Equity is extending its policy of flexible dues paying periods.

Following a policy set last spring, the union will continue to extend the deadline by which union members are required to pay dues. Bills will continue to be sent out, but members who did not pay their dues in April 2020 will still be considered “in good standing” until May 31, 2021.

The policy, which was approved by Equity’s National Council on Dec. 15, now also includes members who did not pay November 2020 dues.

In the policy announcement last spring, Equity told members it was extending the payment deadline due to financial hardship caused by the pandemic. However, the union urged those members who can do so to pay dues in order to support the core functions of the union.
