The in-demand music director is the recipient of the 2026 Isabelle Stevenson Award

The Isabelle Stevenson Award from the Tony Awards recognizes a member of the theater community who has volunteered their time to humanitarian, social service or charitable efforts. This year’s recipient is Mary-Mitchell Campbell. Campbell is an acclaimed conductor, music director, orchestrator, composer and arranger. She is currently the music director of New York City Center’s Encores! series.

Campbell is also a philanthropist, humanitarian and the founder of the nonprofit ArtsIgnite. Here, she tells us about her organization and the inspiration behind her fusion of arts and giving back.

The 2026 Tony Awards will take place on June 7 at Radio City Music Hall. P!NK will host the ceremony, which will be broadcast live on CBS and livestreamed on Paramount+ Premium (8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT). CBS and Pluto TV will present the Tony Awards: Act One.
