“Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” will not resume performances on Broadway, producers Scott Rudin, Barry Diller and David Geffen announced early Saturday morning.

The production, which starred Laurie Metcalf, Russell Tovey, Rupert Everett and Patsy Ferran, will not be able to open due to “ensuing cast scheduling conflicts amid the shutdown.” according to the production. The play, directed by Joe Mantello, played nine previews at the Booth Theatre and was slated to run through Aug. 2.

It is the second Broadway production to announce closing due to the theater shutdown caused by COVID-19. “Hangmen” announced its closing Friday.
