“Waitress” will open a new production on the West End next spring.

The musical will begin performances at the Adelphi Theatre in February 2019. With the same team helming the show — book by Jessie Nelson, score by Sara Bareilles, choreography by Lorin Latarro and direction by Diane Paulus — this marks the first all-female creative team on a West End musical.

“We are so proud of this beautiful show, and can’t wait to share the story of Jenna with a whole new audience and welcome them into the world of Waitress with open arms and plenty of pie,” Bareilles said in the press release.

“Waitress” is produced by Barry and Fran Weissler and Norton and Elayne Herrick.

“Waitress” also has a currently running national tour and will have its Australian premiere in 2020 at the Sydney Lyric Theatre.
