Second Stage Theater’s Broadway staging of “The Thanksgiving Play” has received a one-week extension. The production, which opened at the Hayes Theater on April 20 and was originally scheduled to run until June 4, will now play through June 11.

Written by Larissa FastHorse and directed by Rachel Chavkin, “The Thanksgiving Play” features a four-person company that includes D’Arcy Carden as Alicia, Katie Finneran as Logan, Scott Foley as Jaxton and Chris Sullivan as Caden. The play is a satire that follows a group of four theatermakers as they try to create a culturally sensitive story for their Thanksgiving pageant.

The play’s creative team includes scenic designer Riccardo Hernández, costume designer Lux Haac, lighting designer Jeanette Oui-Suk Yew, sound designer Mikaal Sulaiman, video/projection designer David Bengali and hair/makeup designer Brittany Hartman. Casting is by The Telsey Office.

Second Stage Theater is led by president and artistic director Carole Rothman and executive director Khady Kamara.
