BroadwayHD, an on-demand theatrical performance streaming service, has announced McLean Mills as its new director of content and production. Mills joins the BroadwayHD team after previously working at the e-startup “Studio,” where he helped build the company’s production department, and in the post-production department at YouTube Originals.

In his role, Mills will be responsible for acquiring new titles to add to the BroadwayHD catalog. He will also serve as a producer, alongside founders Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley, on all new content, including live captures of Broadway shows.

BroadwayHD hosts several live captures of previous Main Stem productions on its platform, including last season’s “Mr. Saturday Night” and the 2016 revival of “Falsettos.”

“We are thrilled to welcome McLean to BroadwayHD,” said Lane in a statement. “His extensive experience and passion for the performing arts make him the perfect fit for this role.”

“We are confident that McLean’s vision and expertise will help us continue to expand our digital footprint and make the best of Broadway accessible to audiences everywhere,” Comely added in a statement.

BroadwayHD distributes live and previously recorded theatrical performances.
