Producers have announced that nine cast members of “The Outsiders” will play their final performances in March.
Tilly Evans-Krueger, who originated the role of Ace and is the associate choreographer of the production, will depart on March 8. Fellow original company members Brent Comer (who plays Darrel Curtis), Renni Anthony Magee (Steve), SarahGrace Mariani (Marcia), Kevin William Paul (Bob), Melody Rose (Beverly) and Jason Schmidt (Sodapop Curtis) will play their final performances on March 15.
Additionally, Trevor Wayne, who started as an original swing in the cast before replacing in the role of Ponyboy Curtis, and Alex Joseph Grayson, who replaced as Dallas Winston, will also depart after the March 15 show. As previously announced, Sky Lakota-Lynch, who originated the role of Johnny Cade, will play his final show on March 15.
Casting has not yet been announced for replacements in these roles. “The Outsiders” casting is by Xavier Rubiano for the TRC Company.
“The Outsiders” features a book by Adam Rapp with Justin Levine, music and lyrics by Jamestown Revival (Jonathan Clay and Zach Chance) and Levine, choreography by Rick Kuperman and Jeff Kuperman and is directed by Tony Award winner Danya Taymor.
The musical began previews at Broadway’s Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre on March 16, 2024, ahead of an opening night of April 11. It won four Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
