Producer Scott Rudin has changed the location of “King Lear,” which was previously announced to play the Golden Theatre.

On Thursday, he announced that “King Lear” will play the Cort Theatre this spring, following Mike Birbiglia’s “The New One” started previews on Thursday as part of a limited run.

“Hillary and Clinton,” another Rudin-produced play, will take over the Golden Theatre, where it begins previews on March 16. Rudin’s production of “The Waverly Gallery” is opening Thursday night at the Golden.

“King Lear” begins previews on Feb. 28.
