Entire off-Broadway cast of ‘Be More Chill’ will move to Broadway

“Be More Chill” will bring its entire off-Broadway cast to Broadway.

The musical, which ran off-Broadway at the Signature Center this past summer, features Will Roland, George Salazar, Stephanie Hsu, Gerard Canonico and Jason Tam. It begins performances at the Lyceum Theatre on Feb. 13, with an opening night slated for March 10.

“We are absolutely thrilled that the entire New York premiere company will be making the journey with us to Broadway,” Gerald Goehring, lead producer of “Be More Chill,” said in the press release. “This company has collaborated to bring Joe Iconis and Joe Tracz’s beautiful and universal musical to life off-Broadway this summer and we could not have been more thrilled with the outpouring of love we received from our fans around the world.”

With music and lyrics by Joe Iconis and a book by Joe Tracz, the musical also features Katlyn Carlson, Lauren Marcus, Britton Smith and Jason SweetTooth Williams. The understudies are Cameron Bond, Anthony Chatmon II, Morgan Siobhan Green, Troy Iwata, Talia Suskauer and Joel Waggoner.

Stephen Brackett is the director, and Chase Brock is the choreographer.

The musical features scenic design by Beowulf Boritt, costume design by Bobby Frederick Tilley II, lighting design by Tyler Micoleau, sound design by Ryan Rumery and projection design by Alex Basco Koch.

The musical premiered at Two River Theater in New Jersey in 2015.
