Complete casting announced for Broadway transfer of ‘Hell’s Kitchen’

The Alicia Keys-scored musical will open in April at the Shubert Theatre.

“Hell’s Kitchen” has announced final casting for its Broadway premiere. Following a fall 2023 Off-Broadway run at the Public Theater, the previously announced musical will begin previews on March 28 and open on April 20 at the Shubert Theatre.

Newly announced cast members include Chad Carstarphen as Ray, Vanessa Ferguson as Tiny, Jakeim Hart as Q, Jackie Leon as Jessica, Nyseli Vega as Millie, Lamont Walker II as ’Riq and Rema Webb as Crystal. They are joined by fellow ensemble members Reid Clarke, Chloe Davis, Nico DeJesus, Timothy L. Edwards, David Guzman, Raechelle Manalo, Sarah Parker and Niki Saludez.

Rounding out the company are swings and understudies Desmond Sean Ellington, Badia Farha, Gianna Harris, Takia “Tiki” Hopson, Jade Milan, Onyxx Noel, Susan Oliveras, Aaron Nicholas Patterson, William Roberson, Donna Vivino and Oscar Whitney, Jr.

They join a previously announced principal cast that includes Maleah Joi Moon as Ali, Shoshana Bean as Jersey, Brandon Victor Dixon as Davis, Chris Lee as Knuck and Kecia Lewis as Miss Liza Jane. Casting is by Heidi Griffiths and Kate Murray.

Featuring a book by Pulitzer Prize finalist Kristoffer Diaz, “Hell’s Kitchen” takes its inspiration from Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Alicia Keys’ childhood growing up in the New York City neighborhood of the same name. The musical’s score is comprised of songs from Keys’ catalog as well as new songs she wrote specifically for the stage.
