Broadway was well-represented at the 2026 Telly Awards. The Telly Awards, which recognize excellence in video and television, are distributed in three tiers — Gold, Silver and Bronze — for certain categories.

Advertising firm the Pekoe Group led with nine wins for its social media and promotional videos across three Broadway shows. Its “Opening Night Red Carpet Messages” video for “Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York)” won Gold in Social Video — General — Arts and Entertainment. In the same category, its “Holiday Movie Re-creation” video won Silver, while the video of the studio recording session for the song “New York” won Silver in the categories of Promotional Video — General — Arts and Culture and Music Video. The “Broadway Announcement Video” for “Two Strangers” took home the Silver Telly for Promotional Video — General — Arts and Culture.

The Pekoe Group’s trailer for Off-Broadway’s “Masquerade” also took home Silver in Social Video General — Arts and Culture. Its “Lie Detector” video for “Operation Mincemeat” won Silver in Social Video — Series — Arts and Culture, while “Mincemeat”’s “Halloween Theatre Tour” and “Taxi Transformation” videos both won Bronze in Social Video — General — Arts and Entertainment.

And That’s Strategy won two Silver Telly Awards for its “Maybe Happy Ending” campaigns: one for Series — Vertical Video Series, for the “Maybe Happy (Recomm)Ending” series, which featured star Darren Criss directly recommending the show to prospective theatergoers in Times Square, and another for in General — Arts and Entertainment for its “Helperbots in Times Square” video. The firm also won a Silver Telly in the General — Music, Dance and Performance category for its “Green Light Mashup” video, featuring Jeremy Jordan and Aisha Jackson performing a medley of pop music and the song “Green Light” from “The Great Gatsby.”

Streaming service BroadwayHD took home a Silver Telly in General — Scripted for its live capture of “Pippin”’s 50th anniversary concert, as did DNA Films for its recording of “When My Soul Speaks,” a one-night performance at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre featuring motivational speaker Lisa Nichols.

Since 1979, the Telly Awards have honored exemplary local, regional and cable television commercials, with non-broadcast video and television programming added shortly after. In recent years, the awards have begun to include social media, immersive branded content, documentary and other digital video media.
