Tony Award winner Billy Porter, along with Jessica Vosk and Billy Zane, will star in “Bill Pay The Musical,” a one-night-only original musical comedy from fintech company Ramp, playing Sept. 25 at the Broadhurst Theatre. The musical will celebrate Ramp Bill Pay, a product that automates bill payment and provides the financial infrastructure behind invoice approvals, payment processing and more.
The production is inspired by the industrial musicals of the mid-20th century, which companies used to introduce products, motivate employees and tell corporate stories through theatrical productions. “In the 1950s and ’60s, America’s biggest companies staged lavish musicals about cars, appliances and soda,” said Ramp co-founder and co-CEO Eric Glyman. “Somewhere along the way, we lost our nerve. We’re bringing back the industrial musical.”
Written by Kevin Zak, with music and lyrics by Jason Michael Snow, “Bill Pay The Musical” will be directed by Keaton Wooden and choreographed by Antoinette DiPietropolo. Music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements will be by Ben Cohn.
The musical is described as a show “about bills and starring Bills,” created for finance leaders who oversee bill payments. It will incorporate references to Ramp’s AI-powered bill pay product.

Porter won a Tony for his turn in “Kinky Boots” and for co-producing “A Strange Loop.” He later received the Isabelle Stevenson Award. Vosk recently originated the role of Cee Cee Bloom in Broadway’s “Beaches” and has previously starred in “Hell’s Kitchen,” “Wicked” and others. Zane made his Broadway debut as a replacement Billy Flynn in “Chicago”; he is best known for his performance as Cal in the movie “Titanic.” The cast will also include Rema Webb as Rampa, with Karli Dinardo, Katie Griffith, Indya Lincicome, Drew Minard, Shannon Mullen, Cole Newburg, Will Porter and Brandon Stonestreet comprising the ensemble. Casting is by Patrick Goodwin.
The creative team will also include associate director Ella Raymont, music director Adam Laird, scenic designer Paul Tate de Poo III, costume designer Andrea Hood, lighting designer Karen Spahn, sound designer Sun Hee “Sunny” Kil and wig, hair and makeup designers J. Jared Janas and Dotty Petersen.
The producing team of “Bill Pay The Musical” includes Kendall Tucker and Amber Layne from Ramp, as well as producers Ryan Bogner, Tracey Stroock McFarland and Zachary Thomas Hedner. Production partners are Broadway & Beyond Theatricals, DR Theatrical Management, Tandem Production Partners, 7 Miles Global and Super Awesome Friends.
