‘Bad Cinderella’ to livestream Act 2 opener on May 9

The Andrew Lloyd Webber musical will go live via YouTube.

The new musical “Bad Cinderella” will stream its Act 2 opener live from Broadway’s Imperial Theatre on May 9. The number showcases the Queen’s Ball, where the Prince has been tasked with finding his bride.

The event will begin at 8:30 p.m. ET on the “Bad Cinderella” YouTube channel. Viewers can sign up to receive a notification for when the broadcast goes live.

The Broadway moutning of “Bad Cinderella” opened on March 23. Directed by Laurence Connor, the musical features a book by Emerald Fennell, music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by David Zippel.

The cast is set to feature Linedy Genao in the title role, along with Carolee Carmello as the Stepmother, Grace McLean as the Queen, Jordan Dobson as Prince Sebastian, Morgan Higgins as stepsister Marie, Sami Gayle as stepsister Adele and Christina Acosta Robinson as the Godmother.

Taking place in the fictional town of Belleville, “Bad Cinderella” offers a twist on the classic fairy tale.
