Beginning July 1, the theatrical marketing and publicity firm Anita Dloniak & Associates, Inc. will become Melissa Hazek PR & Marketing. While founder Anita Dloniak will be stepping away from day-to-day operations, Melissa Hazek, who has been a part of the company for the past 23 years, will lead the firm as its owner.
The company will continue to provide marketing and publicity services to the Broadway touring industry as well as unique experiences and seasonal special events. Dloniak established the firm in the 1990s; Hazek joined the company more than two decades ago as an associate, collaborating closely with Dloniak and other team members across all facets of the business.
“Melissa has been the heart and soul of this company for so many years,” said Dloniak in a statement. “Her dedication, strategic vision and deep understanding of our clients’ needs make her the perfect person to carry the torch forward. I am thrilled to see the firm evolve under her leadership as Melissa Hazek PR & Marketing.”
“I am incredibly honored to build upon the strong foundation Anita has created,” added Hazek. “This transition represents an exciting opportunity to innovate and further elevate the services we provide to our valued clients. I am deeply committed to the continued success of our partners and look forward to leading Melissa Hazek PR & Marketing into its next phase of growth.”
Currently, the company represents the national tours of “Come From Away” and “Chicago.” In collaboration with Bond Theatrical, the firm has handled marketing and publicity for “Peter Pan,” “Annie” and “My Fair Lady.” The firm’s roster also includes the musical ensemble troupe “Mannheim Steamroller.”
