“Ain’t Too Proud” will resume Broadway performances on Oct. 16.

The musical, which opened on Broadway on March 21, 2019, will return to the Imperial Theatre with a special gala performance. Casting for the return will be announced at a later date. Tickets were put on sale Monday.

“Ain’t Too Proud” joins six other musicals to announce ticket sales and dates for a Broadway return, following Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s declaration that Broadway shows can reopen at full capacity on Sept. 14. “Diana” announced its return in March.

The musical features a book by Dominique Morriseau, direction by Des McAnuff and choreography by Sergio Trujillo.

The first national touring production of “Ain’t Too Proud” will start performances this fall, with a stop in Detroit, the birthplace of the Temptations.
