5 minutes with a Tony nominee: ‘The Rocky Horror Show’’s Rachel Dratch

The “Saturday Night Live” alumn has earned her second Tony Award nomination.

Best known for her seven seasons as a cast member of “Saturday Night Live,” actor Rachel Dratch is also making an impression on Broadway. Having been nominated for a Tony Award in 2022, Dratch is now a 2026 Tony nominee for her turn as the narrator in the current revival of “The Rocky Horror Show.”

Here, Dratch discusses the significance of multiple “SNL” alumni playing on Broadway simultaneously (Ana Gasteyer is in “Schmigadoon!” and Maya Rudolph is in “Oh, Mary!), the kind of comedy she’s excited to bring the to Main Stem and her role guiding enthusiastic “Rocky Horror” audiences.

“The Rocky Horror Show” is nominated for nine Tony Awards.

The 2026 Tony Awards will take place on June 7 at Radio City Music Hall. P!NK will host the ceremony, which will be broadcast live on CBS and livestreamed on Paramount+ Premium (8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT). CBS and Pluto TV will present the Tony Awards: Act One, with additional details to follow.
