Justin Ellington made his Broadway debut as a sound designer in 2021 with the play “Pass Over.” He earned his first Tony Award nomination for his sound design of the 2022 revival of “for colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf.” Now, he’s racked up his third nomination — for the sound design of the current revival of “Joe Turner’s Come and Gone.”
